Terms of Service
Basic Terms
- You must be 13 years or older to use this site.
- You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your username.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
- You must not abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate, or intimidate other Glacir users.
- You may not use the Glacir service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. International users agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content.
- You may not upload, post, transmit, share, store, or otherwise make available any content that we deem to be harmful, threatening, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, abusive, inflammatory, harassing, vulgar, obscene, fraudulent, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable on the Glacir service.
- You are solely responsible for your conduct and any data, text, information, usernames, graphics, photos, profiles, links ("Content") that you submit, post, and display on the Glacir service.
- You must not modify, adapt or hack Glacir or modify another website so as to falsely imply that it is associated with Glacir.
- You must not create or submit unwanted email to any Glacir members ("Spam").
- You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.
- You must not, in the use of Glacir, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
Violation of any of these agreements will result in the termination of your Glacir account. While Glacir prohibits such conduct and content on its site, you understand and agree that Glacir cannot be responsible for the Content posted on it's website. You nonetheless may be exposed to such materials and must use the Glacir service at your own risk.
General Conditions
We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Glacir service for any reason, without notice at any time.
We reserve the right to alter these Terms of Use at any time. If the alterations constitute a material change to the Terms of Use, we will notify you via internet mail according to the preference expressed on your account settings. What constitutes a "material change" will be determined at our sole discretion, in good faith, and using common sense and reasonable judgment.
We reserve the right, in accordance with any applicable laws, to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
We may, but have no obligation to, remove Content and accounts containing Content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable or violate any party's intellectual property or these Terms of Use.
We reserve the right to reclaim usernames on behalf of businesses or individuals that hold legal claim or trademark on those usernames.
Copyright
We claim no intellectual property rights over the material you provide to the Glacir service. Your profile and uploaded materials remain yours. You can remove your profile at any time by deleting your account. This will also remove any text and images you have stored in the system.
Glacir undertakes to obey all relevant copyright laws. We will review all claims of copyright infringement received and remove content deemed to have been posted or distributed in violation of any such laws. To make a claim, please provide us with the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or the person authorized to act on its behalf;
- A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- A description of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit Glacir to locate the material;
- Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email;
- A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under the pains and penalties of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Glacir Rules
Our goal is to provide a service that allows you to explore and harness your six degrees of separation. We respect the ownership of the content that users share and each user is responsible for the content he or she provides. Because of these principles, we do not actively monitor user's content and will not censor user content, except in limited circumstances described below.
Boundaries and Use of Glacir
In order to provide the Glacir service there are some limitations on the type of content that can be published with Glacir. These limitations comply with legal requirements. We may need to change these rules from time to time and reserve the right to do so. Please check back here to see the latest.
Impersonation: You may not impersonate others through the Glacir service in a manner that does or is intended to mislead, confuse, or deceive others.
Privacy: You may not publish or post other people's private and confidential information.
Copyright: We will respond to clear and complete notices of alleged copyright infringement. Our copyright procedures are set forth in the Terms of Service.
Unlawful Use: You may not use our service for any unlawful purposes or for promotion of illegal activities.
Spam and Abuse
Glacir strives to protect its users from spam and abuse. Technical abuse and user abuse is not tolerated on Glacir and will result in permanent suspension. Any accounts engaging in the activities specified below are subject to suspension or possible account termination.
Serial Accounts: You may not create serial accounts for disruptive or abusive purposes. Mass account creation will result in suspension off all accounts.
Name Squatting: You may not engage in name squatting. Accounts that are inactive for more than 6 months may be removed without further notice. Some of the factors that we take into account when determining what conduct is considered to be name squatting are:
- the number of accounts created
- creating accounts for the purpose of preventing others from using those account names
- creating accounts for the purpose of selling those accounts
Selling usernames: You agree that you will not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, or resell the Services for any purpose.
Malware/Phishing: You may not publish or link to malicious content intended to damage or disrupt another user's browser or computer or to compromise a user's privacy.
Spam: You may not use the Glacir service for the purpose of spamming anyone.
Pornography: You may not use obscene or pornographic images in your profile picture.
Glacir reserves the right to immediately terminate your account without further notice in the event that, in its judgment, you violate these Rules or the Terms of Service.
